2023 FALL Program: music for a vibrant city

The Montpelier Chamber Orchestra is back, and like Montpelier and other Vermont post-flood towns, is becoming vibrant again.  After hosting a mini-performance in June, we will be holding our first full concert in almost four years on November 18th at 7:00pm, at the Barre Opera House.  Locally well-known music director Daniel  Bruce will be conducting Beethoven's 7th Symphony, Mozart’s Overture to the Marriage of Figaro, Ravel’s Pavane for a Dead Princess, and Florence Price's uplifting Andante Moderato from her String Quartet in G Major.

The Montpelier Chamber Orchestra has been performing in the Montpelier area for 25 years.  Our members are both professional and advanced amateur musicians who are dedicated volunteers in providing both traditional and more contemporary chamber orchestra repertory several times a year.

2023 New Year’s Eve: first night friends

Musicians and friends of the Montpelier Chamber Orchestra perform chamber music at the Unitarian Church in Montpelier. A horn sextet, woodwind quintet and a viola piano duo round out the 90 minutes of music. Featuring work of Vaughan Williams, Ravel, Handel, Martin, Hensen & Pottle, Ibert and more! Enjoy songs to celebrate our many holidays and to usher in a brighter, hopeful new year. Free to the community.
